Kottukapally Nazarani Tharawad has been built, expanded and restored, in the Kerala, Dutch and Spanish Architectural Styles, by successive generations of the Kottukapally Family over a period of Three Hundred Years. Kottukapally family trace their Christian roots 2000 years back to St. Thomas the Apostle, when the Nampoothiris (Hindu Brahmins) of the Kottakavu Illam of Paravur accepted Christ in A.D.52. The present owners of the Tharawad, John Thomas Kottukapally and Thressi have been involved in variegated businesses, social activities and international trans-denominational Christian ministries. |
